May your father and mother be glad

May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice! (Proverbs 23:25)

네 부모를 즐겁게 하며 너 낳은 어미를 기쁘게 하라 (잠언 23:25)

※ 해설

When I was young, I had been disobedient to my parents. Far from giving my gratitude, I used to grumble at my mother. One of the Ten Commandments is "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you". Honor to parents is the permanent commandment. I repent my past blames for parents. As a christian, I ardently wish I can do all my best in attending my parents. 

어렸을 적 저는 부모님에게 불효하는 자식이었습니다. 감사하기는 커녕 어머님을 원망하기 일쑤였지요. 십계명 중의 하나는 "네 부모를 공경하라 그리하면 너의 하나님 나 여호와가 네게 준 땅에서 네 생명이 길리라"(출20:12)입니다. 부모님에 대한 과거의 잘못된 죄를 회개합니다. 기독교인으로서 부모님을 모시는데 최선의 노력을 다할 수 있기를 간절히 소망합니다.
